Key Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist - Learning & Development is responsible for supporting learning innovation by defining and developing learning solutions to drive business impact. This position requires demonstrated experience in managing learning and development programs. The successful candidate will possess the ability to build solid relationships, understand stakeholder needs, and develop recommendations to drive personal and professional development for program participants. This role is for those that are passionate about learning and development, possess strong interpersonal skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy collaborating on program and process improvement. This team member will show up in this role with enthusiasm to build connections and show care about the learner experience through being inclusive and welcoming to all.

  • Oversees the ongoing execution of existing programs, including pre-planning rollouts, managing communications, scheduling and execution of learning events
  • Collaborates across the business to identify strategic and tactical goals for each training engagement
  • Identifies critical knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to support learning objectives
  • Develops an instructional strategy for different training or learning solutions based upon established learning objectives, learner needs and characteristics
  • Influences across multiple teams and groups, collaborating to identify solutions that achieve shared results
  • Recommends measurement and assessment strategies for learning activities
  • Manages large-scale program roll outs by overseeing the production of learning solutions with internal and external resources
  • Partners with external and internal vendors and facilitators to build and deliver training
  • Evaluates existing curricula for alignment, effectiveness, and instructional soundness
  • Ensures the experiences are digestible to the learning audience(s)
  • Researches and evaluates leading-edge learning concepts and techniques to determine relevant application and continuously drives groundbreaking innovations into their learning experience solutions
  • Up to 35% of time spent in-classroom facilitation of learning events

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development & Effectiveness, Instructional Design, or related field and/or training experience
  • 3 years facilitated and/or non-facilitated educational design experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of facilitated and/or non-facilitated training methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to educate, communicate, negotiate, and influence with all levels of management to produce outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and facilitate effectively to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to show good judgment, take initiative, and make decisions
  • Ability to provide administrative support according to specific client needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis, up to 20% of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in designing innovative, learner centric, multiple delivery method learning solutions
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating groups of individuals to unstructured outcomes
  • Business experience outside of Learning and Development
  • Skills in measurement and evaluation of training initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems under pressure
