Network Operations Control
The Network Operations department helps us run a safe, reliable airline, and includes careers in aircraft routing and dispatching, crew scheduling, air traffic control and more.
Job overview and responsibilities
The UAX Network Manager is the key point person in the NOC for the entire UAX operation while on duty. UAX operations represent roughly 60% of the entire UA daily departure count and the manager is the point operational point person for that actvity. The UAX Manager is the key liasion to our 7 flying partners across the network and oversees flight activity, delays, cancellations, event planning and day-of execusion of the planned activity.
- Oversee and maintain oversight of a the UAX daily operation
- monitor disruptions across the network for resolution and/or coordination with the station and flying partner
- Plans ahead for irrops of all kinds, identifies opportunities to ensure the best operational solutions are established
- Provide Tactical guidance during irrops event
- Holds regular calls with the flying partners and other NOC/Field leaders to communicate and update operational plans, disruptions and recovery efforts
- Works both internally and with the partners on developing processes and communication protocols to improve communications and visibility with our partners
Required
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 years airline operations experience
- Strong knowledge of airport operations, ATC, weather, hub and line station operations
- Strong understanding of Express flying agreements
- Critical thinking, ability to quickly evaluate operational situations and provide guidance
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with MS office products
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Bachelors degree, FAA Dispatch License
- 5 year airline operations
- FAA dispatch or other airman certificate
- Minimum 5 years operational airline experience
- Strong familiarity with NOC tools, Unimatic, Routing, RFP, IOM/Volare
- Familiarity with the UAX airline
