Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing various inspections including testing devices, providing maintenance and service, and generating results related to fire alarm systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
- Perform on-site troubleshooting/diagnosis/repair when possible
- Assist with routine service calls where possible
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
- Performs other duties as assigned and will join the on-call service rotation after training
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma / GED- State license preferred but will sponsor enlistment in state apprenticeship program
- Ability to install, inspect, or service fire alarm, fire suppression, and fire sprinkler systems without supervisor
- Interface with central station to check signals and put account on/off test
- Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Reliable
- Capable of performing physical labor, including climbing ladders
- Ability to work with small tools as assigned
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must read and speak English
- Must have valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
Experience:
- Prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation within the fire industry required
- NICET Certification preferred
Salary : $25 - $35
