SUMMARY
This position involves management of production work orders and resource management. Ensuring timely and accurate job completion, as well as maintain all relevant information, including costs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create job orders at the appropriate quantity and due dates, and with the appropriate lead time, in order to meet customer demand
- Create transfer orders for the appropriate quantity and timing to ensure material is delivered between facilities appropriately
- Confirms new job orders agree to the template including minimum order quantity, revision levels, completion dates and pricing
- Monitors available capacity as well as demand at each work center to ensure production schedules are achievable
- Oversee, manage, and schedule all customer orders to the production floor, including daily review and management of work center production schedules
- Identify inventory shortages that will prevent timely completion of job orders and develop effective responses to those shortages – this may include working with the Purchasing or Sales teams to reschedule deliveries
- Assist in timely and accurate job transaction reporting and closure to contribute to the organization’s cost structure and profitability
- Works with Sales and Inventory to set stocking quantities for contract items for inventory level maintenance
- Daily review of material planning reports to ensure material is ordered or jobs are created to meet all production requirements
- Follows jobs and collaborates with Production Assistants to ensure kitting is complete prior to the job scheduled start date
- Ensure work center staffing and capacity is accurately reflected in the ERP
- Review item master data, including but not limited to planner codes and lead times, to ensure proper handling of supply and demand by the ERP
- Challenges the status quo by developing and recommending modification to existing processes and methodologies with a constant focus on continuous improvement
- Supports United Alloy’s quality policy and adheres to ISO standards
- Assists in other areas of the production department if needed
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- High School Diploma or equivalent required – Associates Degree Preferred
- Production control or customer service experience
- Manufacturing exposure
- Detail oriented, with exceptional organizational skills
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to navigate in a windows-based computer environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This will be an onsite position in Union, Ohio.
- Occasional travel may be required, approximately 10%.
