Position Summary:
As a crucial member of our team, the primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently operate mill equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality feed while proactively addressing challenges to prevent production downtime. The ideal candidate will execute tasks to their highest level, adhere to quality assurance protocols, and contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Batch bulk ingredients according to the QA manual, ensuring proper sequencing and flushing.
- Perform micro-batch hand adds for mixer efficiency.
- Manage warehouse inventory by restocking and rotating site products, ingredients, medications, and pellets.
- Package and palletize 20 – 60 lb. bags of feed, while efficiently handling bulk trucks.
- Conduct housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized facility, including fixing broken bags.
- Manage inventory control activities for accurate tracking of various feed products.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure the maintenance of high-quality wood pallets for shipping purposes.
- Pick and load outbound products for customers, other United facilities, and delivery trucks as needed.
- Receive incoming ingredients and rotate them within the warehouse as needed.
- Assist with training new employees as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Work Environment:
- This role predominantly operates in a warehouse/feed mill/outside environment where temperature variations are common, and the air may be dusty.

Education/Training
- High School degree, GED, or equivalent professional experience.
- Education, training, or experience to manufacture, process, pack, or hold safe animal food.
Relevant Experience
- 0 – 2 years of professional experience in a warehouse environment.
- 0 – 2 years of experience in a feed production environment.
- 0 – 2 years of experience in forklift operation.
Specialized Knowledge
- Proficient in operating forklifts.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Non-Technical Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Record-keeping proficiency.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
