We are looking for a Business Support Specialist to work in our IT Department. This person would need excellent Excel skills (test results required) as their core position consists of taking price lists from our vendors and inputting into our system. They need to be meticulous, detailed and understand urgency. Salaried position, in-office only, Monday-Friday, immediate hire. May do temp to hire or perm placement depending on candidate.
Essential Functions:
Works closely with the Director of IT Dev Ops, Vendors, and development to process Vendor Price Files and Vendor Change Order requests. The Business Support Specialist is a critical role that bridges the communication between the business, members, and vendors. This position is responsible for supporting all product pricing, categorization, product images, shipping rules, unit of measure requirements, and Sales Order item updates while working closely with 250 vendors covering 475K item SKUs. This position also supports the development of functional and non-functional business requirements to resolve business/systems issues as well as implementing approved business initiatives.
• Primary contact for all communication with vendors regarding product data including, but not limited to price updates, photos, inventory, etc.
• Primary contact for business users regarding vendor product (pricing, item descriptions, item maintenance in all systems, etc.)
• Uses Excel lookup and data analysis to ensure price file data is accurate and compliant to UAG standards
• Secondary support for business applications (BC, CRM, Celigo, NetSuite, etc.)
• Works closely with project and product management teams with the purpose of providing support, analysis updates, raising task blockers
• Assist, as needed, in the capture, analysis, and management of functional and non-functional system requirements
• Supporting all aspects of the project and ticket lifecycle, assisting in the requirements gathering and articulating user, business, and technical requirements
• Builds and maintains strong business relationships with all designated contacts, to share business system and business process knowledge
• Possess a working grasp of current utilization of software, applications and processes
• Participate in assessment conversations with stakeholders to identify business needs and provide recommendations for process enhancements
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the product development team to ensure user needs are met
• Assist in reviewing, testing and evaluating work done by development team(s)
• Assist with the demonstrations to users/owners for process enhancements and report on the results of development delivery items
• A willingness to learn and stay abreast of industry trends that impact all aspects of the business and vendor relations
• Bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural
Requirements:
- Experience in Industry preferred but not required
- NetSuite experience preferred but not required
- BigCommerce experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent people and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple efforts
- Strong Excel skills required
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, days. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed and subject to manager approval, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
