Summary:
Perform duties to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of loan operations. Review loan files, maintain regulatory compliance, and support process improvements. Possess a strong focus on quality control and efficiency, assist in streamlining loan processes and enhancing overall department performance, all while fostering positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
Duties:
- Review new loans, renewals, and denied loans before closing to ensure all conditions, regulations, and policies are met.
- Review all new loan and renewal files after scanning to ensure all documents are properly scanned, labeled and complete.
- Monitor loan maintenance reports and ensure proper documentation for maintenance has been completed.
- Oversee HMDA compliance, ensuring accurate data and timely submissions. Update LAR (Loan Application Register) quarterly and submit it annually.
- Update problem asset reports quarterly.
- Perform administrative duties for the Officer Loan and Director Loan Committees including helping to coordinate meeting scheduling, meeting packages, and taking meeting minutes.
- Assist in developing and implementing department procedures and special projects, while identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Assist the Loan Operations Manager in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff. Act as a backup for the Loan Operations Manager when needed.
- Administer NMLS registration for the Bank and lenders. Update the NMLS system as needed.
- Assist the CLO and Loan Operations Manager with miscellaneous reports and special projects as needed.
- Promote and refer United Bank products and services and further establish business relationships when possible.
- Represent United Bank in a positive and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- High level of computer skills, including MS Office.
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting banking functions.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor degree in finance or related field is preferred
Experience:
- 3 years progressive experience in loan operations required
- Additional experience in loan compliance and/or as a loan assistant preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
