JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
The Retail Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in the overall day-to-day administration and coordination of branch operations and supervision of teller staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, security protocols, and ensure proper cash levels.
- Monitor branch efficiency and workflow to avoid long customer wait times.
- Accurate maintenance of internal bank records; reconcile internal bank accounts; and research teller cash outages.
- Supervise branch operations, including teller transactions, account services, and cash handling.
- Perform weekly/monthly/quarterly operational audits/tests, verification of logs.
- Produce and maintain daily/weekly/monthly branch reports.
- Accurate maintenance of customer records.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
- Support retail sales and service initiatives and ensure customer service excellence.
- Ensure all work is scanned timely and accurately.
- May function in an account opening or account maintenance capacity, as needed.
- Ensures consistent, quality customer service experience, including handling customers’ transactional needs.
- Conducts audits, reconciles accounts, and manages cash inventory.
- Promotes a culture of customer service excellence and teamwork.
- Follows all bank policies, processes, procedures, and internal audit requirements and adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
- Any additional duties assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Provides guidance and oversight to and is responsible for the coordination and evaluation of the assigned team. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
