United Bank & Trust is seeking a highly motivated, self- driven individual to join our staff! Must be a people person who enjoys working with customers and providing outstanding customer service.
Major Function
Assist customers with teller transactions and opening and servicing of personal deposit accounts and related services. Responsible for generating new client relationships and expanding relationships with existing clients through proactive activities to enhance growth and profitability.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Greet customers and answer phones, directing customers to the appropriate employee for assistance.
- Engage in business development efforts through effective, proactive calling on prospects and existing customers.
- Assist customers with processing teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.), while developing relationships through consistent delivery of customer service.
- Balance drawer efficiently and accurately.
- Answer or resolve customer inquiries and requests in-person, phone or through email.
- Additional teller duties may include redemption of savings bonds, issuing cashiers check’s, servicing debit cards, balancing coin machine, etc.

Assist customers with the selection and opening of personal deposit accounts (savings and checking) digital banking services, safe deposit boxes, and credit cards.
- Analyze customers’ needs by asking questions and listening for understanding to recommend and open the appropriate product or service to match customers’ needs.
- Identify additional services that compliment and strengthen a customer’s relationship, including referring to other departments.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of all retail products and services, including an understanding of compliance requirements.
- Provide ongoing product and service support to customers by assisting with routine requests, account maintenance requests, questions, and concerns.
- Conduct day-to-day operational and administrative duties related to customer account maintenance.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree or higher-level education preferred.
- Previous cash handling and customer service required, preferably in a banking environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System and Office applications.
- Intermediate to advanced technology skills with the ability to quickly navigate applications and other digital services.
- Effective time management skills.
- Well organized, accurate and detail oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to work independently or in team environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve challenging customer situations.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.

40 hours/week. Schedule will vary between hours of 7:45am - 5:45pm, M-F. Saturday rotation 8am-noon, approximately every 2-3 Saturday's.
