The Risk Management Data Analyst CSR Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial institution's CRA and CSR initiatives through data analysis, efficient reporting, process automation, and overall program support. This role leverages the Microsoft Power Platform to enhance reporting accuracy and streamline compliance processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to CRA and CSR activities to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Utilize a variety of software systems to conduct data analysis and mapping. Communicate results and tell a story to management about UBSI fair lending performance using non-technical terms.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed CRA and CSR reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Process Automation: Utilize the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to automate data collection, reporting, and other processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual tasks.
- Efficiency Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance reporting processes to ensure they are efficient and effective. Implement best practices for data management and reporting.
- Monitoring: Monitor the institution's CRA and CSR performance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Stay current on the regulatory environment and expectations through discussions with peers, seminars, webinars, roundtables presented by regulatory agencies, law firms, bankers associations, etc.
- Community Outreach Support: Assist in organizing and documenting the bank’s participation in community development and sustainability initiatives.
- Training and Support: Provide training on CRA compliance and UBSI’s CSR program
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a field related to social science statistics, research, or data analytics research, analytics, finance, community development or related field and one (1) year of related work experience required; or five (5) years equivalent related work experience in lieu of degree required.
- Understanding of consumer lending products such as credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, home equity loans and lines of credit, and their various programs and qualification requirements preferred. CRA Community development or banking experience and knowledge preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform a plus.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience using various software systems to analyze data required.
- Experience working with large datasets (i.e. over 10,000 rows of data, with over 100 fields per row).
- Knowledge of importing data into software tools, filtering and exporting data from software tools.
- Experience using large datasets to create detailed analytical reports using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability and desire to learn how to use statistical analysis software without formal side-by-side training. Not afraid to roll up your sleeves to use complex fair lending analysis software to create fair lending reports.
- Fair Lending, HMDA, and banking regulation knowledge and experience a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills required.
- Ability to communicate in an effective, concise and inclusive manner.
