Job Description

Principle Duties Include:

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing the program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with a data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manage and verify all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed timely and accurately
  • Supervise and train personnel to adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols
  • Audit orders, maintain logs and assist with order preparation/receiving as necessary
  • Conduct physical inventory counts, research inventory discrepancies and implement internal controls
  • Propose solutions to increase efficiency, accuracy and eliminate inventory variances
  • Monitor supply levels and replenish as required
  • Proactively address any safety and workflow issues
  • Ensure that facility equipment is being used properly and is maintained
  • Monitor and track expenses relating to fuel, storage, and truck maintenance
  • Develop and motivate team
  • Assist with employee scheduling and timekeeping duties

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role
  • Critical thinker with superior problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task
  • Capable of cultivating a safe and positive teamwork environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Forklift Operation and Hazmat Certification a plus
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
