What will you do in this role?
- Serve clients in primarily St. Charles and/or Warren Counties with some cross over into St. Louis County (especially west and north county areas).
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Brain Injury and potential assistive technology or other accommodations that can support individuals with a Brain Injury and meet vocational goals.
- Compile and review vocational, medical, psychological and educational information, and utilize the information to assist clients with individualized career planning, job development and retention services.
- Schedule and participate in team planning meetings that discuss individual clients and their employment goals.
- Conduct orientation for clients to explain services and discuss their rights, responsibilities and disclosure.
- Conduct weekly individual meetings with each client to develop and pursue personal and employment goals established through the planning process.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Good working knowledge of computers, software applications and databases.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to relate to a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of learning and developmental needs of the disabled with the ability to be flexible and altar strategies based on the needs of the individual.
- Flexibility with the weekly schedule.
- Must be able to pass any background, law enforcement, or related security clearance, screenings, or other specific requirements as required by the Agency and/or employment sites (i.e., health specific) for the purpose of providing any and all services through the department and/or Agency.
- MUST have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and provide vehicle insurance that meets minimum requirements for transporting passengers from the State of Missouri. DMV record must meet Agency requirements and must pass the Agency Driver Training Program.
- Maintain training and certification consistent with Agency requirements.
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 100 Pounds using proper lifting and acceptable transfer techniques for the disabled.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- An associate or bachelor's degree in an applicable field from an accredited institution.
- Experience in sales, marketing, rehabilitation, employment services, human resources, personnel management, social services or other applicable experience.
- CPR/First Aid Certificate.
