POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Floater
DIVISION: Day Services
SUPERVISOR: Day Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: Provide on-going activity planning and support to Community Access Mentors.
EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIREMENT: High School diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Minimum of 2 years experience working
with individuals with multiple disabilities in a day placement setting.
SPECIAL LICENSES, REGISTRATION OR
CERTIFICATION: First Aid, CPR, CPI, and Georgia Driver's License
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Management in identifying and developing resources for center and community activities.
Assist Management in monitoring program for maintenance issues (equipment, damage,etc.)
Assist management in ongoing organization of program binders (i.e.: emergency info, IR, goals etc.)
Weekly filing of activity notes, tracking sheets, etc. (after copying).
Provide coverage for CAI services as needed.
Provide classroom coverage as needed, i.e. toileting, feeding, staff absences, outings, etc. (complete documentation as required).
Track use of supplies and monitor through inventory system, report needed supplies to manager weekly.
Assure/complete daily cleaning (end of day) – kitchen, changing room, supply room, classroom, common areas
Provide transportation as needed for consumers and community activities (knowledgeable of all transportation
routes).
Attend monthly department meetings.
Attend scheduled training.
Develop and maintain positive and productive relationship with consumers, families, co-workers, supervisors and community members.
Maintain objectivity in position in order to set appropriate limits while working with consumers.
Support consumers in their personal growth and development, respecting cultural and individual differences.
Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
