WHAT WERE OFFERING

The Facilities Planning Coordinator is responsible for determining aerial and underground drop placement requirements. This role utilizes web mapping products, existing maps, and other web-based tools to identify new or existing project plans. Additionally, the position manages installation and repair orders as they enter the system, assigning them to the appropriate order and tracking system. The coordinator also assists with order and trouble ticket assignments for I&R technicians while supporting tech support, customer service, and other departments to ensure customers' scheduled appointment timeframes are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

Perform visual inspections of predefined construction areas and interpret infrastructure maps to identify underground utilities. These utilities may include (but are not limited to) gas, electric, cable TV, telecommunications, sanitary sewer, water lines, street lighting, and other facilities within the designated construction zone.

Coordinate with the sales team to schedule pre-sales assessments and determine whether homes or businesses are in serviceable locations.

Monitor and review fixed wireless jobs, including adding facilities, recording information, and tracking installations and disconnects.

Utilize a laptop or other devices to receive, document, and enter TN811 notices.

Process aerial and underground service orders within Uniteds ticketing system, ensuring compliance with all local and state TN811 regulations.

Use assigned communication equipment to effectively coordinate with excavators, utility representatives, and company personnel regarding aerial and underground facilities.

Assign incoming orders to the appropriate departments.

Assist the tech support and customer service teams with customer scheduling needs.

Communicate effectively across multiple departments to successfully manage customer orders.

WHAT YOU BRING :

High school diploma or GED.

Familiarity with GIS-related products.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Elations experience a plus.

Proficiency in provided facilities maps.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.

Ability and interest to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing technology environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex situations to colleagues with varying levels of network knowledge.

Strong problem-solving skills, with patience and a positive approach.
