WHAT WE’RE OFFERING

Do you want a job with a company motivated to eliminate the digital divide and drive economic growth throughout Middle Tennessee? We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Information Security Manager to develop and lead our information security strategy.

The Information Security Manager will develop, implement, and maintain a cybersecurity program, which includes procedures and policies designed to protect enterprise communications, systems, and assets from both internal and external threats. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across departments to maintain a robust security posture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

• Security Strategy and Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the company’s comprehensive information security strategy.
  • Establish and grow a high-performing security team to address the company’s evolving needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity initiatives and programs.
• Risk Management and Threat Analysis:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities and areas of exposure.
  • Prioritize and recommend appropriate mitigating actions to address identified security threats.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements in the telecommunications industry.
• Security Systems and Engineering:
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems and tools.
  • Evaluate current infrastructure and make informed, strategic decisions to select the most effective and robust infrastructure for security.
  • Facilitate the integration of security solutions into the company’s IT and telecommunications platforms.
  • Ensure secure system configurations and manage security patches, upgrades, and updates.
• Incident Response and Mitigation:
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of security incidents, ensuring minimal business interruption.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans, protocols, and playbooks.
  • Work closely with IT and operations teams to implement timely corrective actions.
• Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security regulations, frameworks, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Prepare and present reports on the state of the company’s information security program to executive leadership.
• Budget Management:
  • Manage the cybersecurity budget, ensuring initiatives are executed efficiently and within financial constraints.
  • Make data-driven decisions on resource allocation, prioritizing projects that deliver cost efficient results.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in information security roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Advanced technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra/Azure, VMWare, VxRail, Group Policy management and configuration, Microsoft Office, Enterprise networking and Linux.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
• Proficiency with security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS).
• Knowledge of security best practices for network, application, and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with risk management, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Intermediate or advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record and current auto insurance.
