Oversee delinquent portfolio to ensure lower delinquencies and mitigate losses while maintaining favorable relationships with customer.
REPORTS TO: VP of Servicing
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal laws that apply to commercial collections.
- Review status of delinquent accounts and ensure collection efforts are pursued according to
established procedures.
- Prepare routine delinquency reports.
- Negotiate and resolve problem/complaint accounts.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to staff regarding evaluation of deteriorating contract situations to prevent or minimize losses.
- Monitor training, reviews, and employee supervision.
- Maintain collection procedures, training guides, email/letter templates, checklists and all resources used by the department.
- Approval authority as approved by Operations Committee.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has supervisory responsibilities.
- Directly supervises employees within the Collection’s department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year College or university, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: (Contract Management Systems; Microsoft Office).
