Title: Retail Banker
Reports To: Retail Manager or Assistant Retail Manager
Supervises: N/A
Summary:
Responsible for establishing profitable relationships with new and existing customers by providing them with information regarding the bank’s deposit products and services and cross selling all bank products.
Duties:
- Provide a complete range of customer services, including opening deposit accounts, explaining products and services, and gathering appropriate customer information to originate new and existing accounts.
- Actively refer loan services to appropriate personnel.
- Accurately prepare all appropriate deposit documentation for all new and existing accounts.
- Assist customers and potential customer with banking related problems and inquires such as EFT disputes, account reconciliation, internet banking support, etc.
- Participate in customer call center to properly assist customers will all deposit related problems and inquires.
- Assist the branch management team by providing support and assistance with the daily operations of the bank.
- Participate in bank wide and branch specific meetings.
- Minimizes cash losses to the bank by following security guidelines and procedures.
- Performs Teller duties as necessary.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Answer customer inquiries relating to bank products and services. Inquires may be received via ITM session delivered through ITM routing technology or through digital channels such as email, social media and online chat.
- Remain current on products, services, policies and procedures
- Resolve customer inquiries or issues with respect to any product offered by UCB
- Resolve customer issues through account research and utilization of support materials and resources
- Perform customer account transaction and maintenance activities accurately
- Strive for first contact resolution of customer inquiries, transactions and problem resolution
- Escalate customer requests requiring additional knowledge or expertise as defined by department leadership
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have strong communication skills in a face-to-face environment and be comfortable being on camera.
- Demonstrated ability in providing excellent customer service
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- 1 years of banking experience
- 1 years of experience working in a customer service environment
