POSITION OVERVIEW
The Development Director leads assigned fundraising projects and is responsible for supporting United Community’s corporate outreach including managing corporate volunteerism and raising corporate support, cultivating, and stewarding mid-level donors, supporting grant research, and creating pathways to engage emerging leaders. This position includes important departmental operations, donor tracking, donor research, proposal writing and submission, managing gift entry / acknowledgments and implementation of the Department's policies and procedures. The Development Director will be responsible for supporting the Chief Revenue Officer in the execution of an overall comprehensive fundraising plan that includes an array of fundraising strategies that generate revenue in support of United Community’s mission and vision.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES :
- Strategic Fundraising : ?Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan, monitor progress regularly, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Donor Engagement : ?Achieve significant growth in major gifts and cultivate new major donors through targeted engagement strategies. Increase the overall donor base substantially.
