Summary
Coordinate the enterprise risk management (ERM) program and processes for the Bank, promoting risk awareness and management. Facilitate discussions of current and emerging risks and mitigating actions with first line business and function managers. Analyze enterprise-level risks, including impediments to the successful achievement of strategic goals, and provide support to senior leadership. Design and execute methods for risk assessments and reporting, including the use of risk dashboards and KRIs. Develop risk reports to all levels of the organization, including senior management, risk management committees and the Board of Directors. This position will also manage the Model Risk Management function providing the functional oversight of model risk. The position reports to the Chief Risk Officer.
Education And Experience Requirements
This position manages employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.

Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with course work in finance and accounting
- Prefer 10 years of work experience related to various aspects of risk management function
- Project Management experience a plus
- Must possess a proficient knowledge of the bank’s various policies as well as relevant banking regulations
- Ability to reach out and collaborate with high level business unit owners
- Develop systems and procedures as needed for new and existing projects/processes
- Ability to prepare and present work and a proven record of delivering high quality results to meet strict deadlines
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to verbally communicate effectively one-to-one and in groups
- Must be able to write clearly and effectively

- Maintains confidentiality at all times. Position is exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment.
- Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
- Coordinate the enterprise risk management program, including development and management of policies, procedures, project plans, and risk profiles.
- Analyze enterprise-level risks, including operational, strategic, and reputational risks.
- Identification and coordination of the three lines of defense of the Bank.
- Facilitate identification and review of key risks with Bank officers and staff to inform decisions and enhance understanding and awareness.
- Develop senior management reports and presentations for the Bank’s Risk Management Committee, Board of Directors, and other bank partners as needed.
- Lead risk assessment workshops and facilitate self-assessment sessions with teams; consult with department management on identified risks, risk appetite/tolerance levels, possible action plans, and ongoing monitoring.
- Collaborate with departments to identify and report risk events, risk trends and emerging risks that could affect the Bank.
- Manage the Model Risk Management team to facilitate the ongoing risk assessment, monitoring and validation of model risk.
- Serve as point person for new product process and work with product owner/sponsor through the product risk approval process
