What You’ll Do
- Portfolio Management: Collaborate with lenders to manage the local loan portfolio, including annual reviews, past dues, covenant compliance, and more.
- Risk Assessment: Work with senior leaders to maintain the proper risk profile of the market loan portfolio.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of credit specialists, portfolio managers, and analysts, managing workflow and ensuring high performance.
- Loan Process: Engage in all aspects of the loan process, from calling and underwriting to presenting and closing.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a secondary contact for clients, identifying cross-sell opportunities and supporting relational business development.
- Prospecting: Assist lenders in prospecting efforts, making calls and gathering necessary information for credit analysis.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7-10 years in financial services, specifically in commercial lending.
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Deep knowledge of credit policy, banking regulations, and loan documentation.
- Expertise in analyzing complex financial statements and tax returns.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating client relationships and prospects.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks in credit requests.
- Experience in preparing and presenting credit analysis packages.
- Proficiency in various loan structures and credit recommendations.
