Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. This role requires proficiency in various construction management software and tools to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Utilize management software for project tracking and reporting.
  • Review schematics and plans to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Prepare and present project updates to owner, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement best practices in project management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Strong skills in project scheduling and coordination with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Developing, monitoring, and adhering to the building budgets, work schedules, labor forecasts with a view towards maximum efficiency
  • Review budgets with an understanding of labor pool and market pricing.
  • Be literate in building software for building schedules, selecting vendors, and purchasing order issuance.
  • Skilled in weekly communication with office and subordinates
  • Develop relationships with new vendors and subcontractors to create mutual respect & strength
  • Meet partners ( city officials, subs, or vendors ) on-site to review scopes of work regularly.
  • Perform quality checks on completed work and send in purchase orders for approval.
  • Check-in material deliveries at job sites.
  • Maintain organized project documentation.
  • Ensure inspection compliance with municipal inspectors.
  • Manage safe and clean worksites.
  • Travel time management will be required to travel from job to job daily.

Pay: $91,225.00 - $99,442.00 per year

  • Construction management: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Charlotte, NC 28217: Relocate before starting work (Required)
