We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Spray Fireproofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fireproofing projects, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients, General Contractors, and internal teams. This role requires a strong understanding of spray-applied fireproofing materials, construction methods, and estimating techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Determine material, labor, and equipment requirements for spray fireproofing applications.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure the accuracy of cost projections.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, including detailed scope breakdowns.
- Conduct site visits as needed to assess project conditions and verify measurements.
- Monitor industry trends and material costs to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost overruns.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an estimator in the fireproofing or construction industry.
- Knowledge of spray-applied fireproofing materials and application techniques.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software (preferably On-screen Takeoff and QuickBid) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial and industrial fireproofing projects.
- Familiarity with industry standards and building codes.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
