Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a temporary position, starting immediately and going through the end of 2025. It is for the construction of a large apartment complex.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction activities including framing, drywall installation, and finishing work.
- Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and prepare them for use on-site.
- Help with the setup and teardown of scaffolding, ladders, and other temporary structures as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills on the job.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for some positions depending on project needs.
