Job Summary
United Roofing is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Financial Services Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in financial operations, procurement, and administrative tasks. This role is critical in maintaining the financial health of the company by assisting with reviewing financial statements, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Review & Reporting
- Assist in reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support the CFO in preparing financial summaries and data analysis for internal reporting.
- Assist in maintaining financial records and documentation for audits and compliance checks.
- Support in monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable to track cash flow.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for procurement-related tasks, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
- Ensure that purchase orders, invoices, and expenses align with budgetary requirements.
- Assist in cost analysis and provide recommendations for optimizing procurement strategies.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and inventory needs.
Administrative & Compliance Support
- Assist in organizing and maintaining financial and procurement documentation.
- Support in ensuring adherence to financial policies and internal controls.
- Collaborate with department heads to track and optimize financial performance.
- Assist with payroll reconciliation and expense tracking as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in finance, procurement, or administrative support roles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, or other financial software.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for vendor management.
- Fluent in English: Strong communication skills in English are essential.
- Ability to travel: Must be willing to travel as needed
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of financial compliance regulations.
