Qualifications
STAFF DEVELOPMENT/SUPERVISION: The Group Home Manager collaborates with the Program Manager to recruit and interview potential candidates. Oversees staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage while minimizing overtime. Leads comprehensive staff training on essential areas such as fire safety, evacuation procedures, household operations, record-keeping, incident reporting, meal preparation, financial management, regulations, licensing, and individual-specific needs. Identifies ongoing training needs and coordinates additional learning opportunities. Maintains accurate records of staff training and development. Provides continuous supervision through individual and group meetings, offering guidance and role-modeling best practices.
PROGRAM COORDINATIOR/PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: The Group Home Manager conducts individual evaluations and actively participates in scheduled team meetings. Acts as a liaison between programs and professional staff to develop and enhance individualized services. Ensures timely and accurate completion of all documentation. Assesses program effectiveness and recommends improvements to the QDDP. Monitors the consistent implementation of program services and supports. Oversees the ordering of household supplies and coordinates maintenance schedules to ensure a well-maintained environment.
RECORDKEEPING: The Group Home Manager oversees the timely and accurate completion of staff documentation. Ensures all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports are completed efficiently. Regularly reviews records to maintain accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Manages licensing documentation and ensures all paperwork adheres to regulatory standards.
DIRECT SERVICE: The Group Home Manager provides hands-on care to clients as needed, ensuring their well-being and daily needs are met. Oversees and assists with activities of daily living, including personal care, medication management and administration, community outings, financial management, nutrition, interpersonal development, and household responsibilities. Coordinates and attends client appointments as required. Plans and facilitates recreational activities, supervises clients at UCS facilities and off-site locations, and fosters social support. Promotes community integration by encouraging clients to apply learned skills in real-life settings. Administers medication as assigned and serves as a positive role model for both clients and staff.
CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES: The Group Home Manager oversees person-centered program planning through the supervision, development, and management of the ISA. Coordinates appointments with external providers as needed and ensures timely completion of all required documentation. Assists individuals and staff in identifying strengths, needs, and goals to enhance client development. Trains staff on effective methods and strategies while monitoring implementation and effectiveness. Ensures services are delivered in alignment with the ISA, regularly reviewing expectations, objectives, and data collection systems for consistency and efficiency. Maintains compliance with all regulations and participates in the on-call rotation as required.
Position Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
