Qualifications
As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance of the Teacher and Education Manager to foster a safe and stimulating atmosphere where children feel valued and secure. You’ll also help involve parents in educational activities, contribute to classroom learning experiences, and support students in their early development.
- Classroom Support – Assist in planning and preparing daily activities, field trips, and special projects. Step in for the Teacher when needed.
- Child Supervision & Engagement – Guide play activities, facilitate small and large group lessons, and support children's self-care routines. Ensure a safe and positive learning environment at all times.
- Classroom Maintenance – Help organize and maintain educational supplies, materials, and classroom cleanliness.
- Family Engagement – Encourage parent involvement by assisting during events, welcoming them into the classroom, and providing childcare during parent activities (minimum two shifts per year).
- Recordkeeping & Compliance – Maintain attendance records, document observations, and update necessary credentials in accordance with federal and state regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must hold or be working towards a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate Degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education within two years of employment.
