We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at United Counseling Services. As a Same Day Access Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to adults struggling with mental health issues.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed clinician to work in a fast-paced environment, conducting intakes, assessments, and providing treatment recommendations for adult clients. You will work closely with other service providers to ensure seamless transitions and effective care coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough intake processes, including screenings and provision of information, assessments, and notification for all referrals to the agency.
- Assess client needs and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with other service providers to meet individual needs, making referrals to appropriate staff & programs, and providing information to other service providers or referral sources.
- Advocate for newly hired therapists and interns by orientating them to SDA/FAST sessions.
- Manage adult mental health clients on waitlists.
- Provide follow-up Bamboo Health calls within 48 hours of UCS clients being discharged from ED.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, substance use, or related counseling field with experience working with a wide variety of mental health and substance use issues.
- Experience working with people of all ages.
- Licensure or eligible to pursue licensure in Vermont as Substance Use Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proficient in typing and navigating Microsoft Windows literacy Email usage.
