Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Clinician to provide direct services to children and families in Bennington, VT. The ideal candidate will possess a Master Degree in a relevant human service field with experience providing counseling services to families and children.
Main Responsibilities:
- Direct Clinical Services:
Our Clinician will provide assessment and counseling to children, families, and/or groups with behavioral, emotional mental health, and/or substance use needs. Services may include crisis stabilization, clinical assessments, and consultation with sending schools/community partners. Our Clinician will also facilitate referrals and communication between agencies for other services on behalf of the child.
The Clinician will have competencies in screening, assessment, engagement, treatment planning, collaboration, referral, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based counseling techniques. Knowledge of Vermont's system of care is essential to connect individuals to appropriate resources, including those with co-occurring mental health and SUD services.
- Clinical Competencies: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for ages 8-13, Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Zero Suicide approaches.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in a relevant human service field with some experience providing counseling services to families and children.
- Licensure or on track for licensure in Vermont as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Professional.
