The warehouse supervisor directly supervises distribution employees to maximize productivity as assigned shift. This includes planning, assigning and directing work.
This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy, OHSA regulations and applicable health department requirements.
Works with plant management and other supervision to maximize productivity.
Ensure proper procedures are in place and followed for distribution quality, product safety, employee safety and board of health regulations.
Maintain Distribution records as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Specific duties include :
- Oversee / coordinate shift production
- Supervise 2
shift operations related to cleaning / sanitation
- Direct supervision of a staff of 1 for cleaning / sanitation, but also 8-15 warehouse employees at the beginning and end of shift for production start-up and completion
- Maintain MSDS file of chemicals, etc. used in the plant
- SQF / HAACP paperwork / record keeping
- Perform daily plant inspections to verify GMP’s are met
- Maintain, Monitor, Troubleshoot Inventory
- Verify payroll weekly
- Shipping And Receiving Training
- Maintain / Update Master Sanitation Manual
- Safety record keeping / reporting
- Employee training and corrective action
- Ordering of cleaning supplies, Scheduling, Training and Warehouse general overall condition
- Minimum 2-3 years supervisory experience in a distribution center environment, preferable a food distribution plant.
- Ability to schedule employees and resolve conflict, Deductive reasoning skills
