Solutions Architect

UDT is a technology enabler that helps clients in major industries evaluate, architect, provide, secure, and manage technology on the go, in the rack and in the cloud. UDT provides technical, professional, cyber security and managed services.

This is a hybrid position, located in Tampa/Orlando Region

Pre-Sales Solutions Architect

This role is ideal for a results-driven individual passionate about leveraging technology to create innovative, client-focused solutions while fostering strong relationships with clients and partners. Responsibilities:

Solution Design

• Collaborate with the sales team and clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and challenges.
• Design innovative, client-focused solutions that leverage UDT’s product offerings and align with client needs.

Pre-Sales Support

• Assist the sales team in creating impactful presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to effectively showcase proposed solutions.
• Use your strong sales acumen to communicate the value proposition of technology offerings, addressing client concerns and objections confidently.

Client Engagement

• Participate in pre-sales meetings, workshops, and presentations to highlight the technical capabilities and advantages of UDT solutions.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.
• Advocate for UDT technology by demonstrating how solutions can solve specific business challenges and deliver measurable results.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with internal teams (sales, product management, engineering, service delivery, customer success) and external partners to ensure seamless alignment on solution design and implementation strategies.
• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Expertise Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of a broad range of technologies, including but not limited to:

• Compute
• Storage
• Backups
• Traditional Routing and Switching
• Software-defined Networking
• Wireless
• Next-Generation Firewalls
• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Network Access Control (NAC)
• Zero Trust/Micro-Segmentation
• DNS Capture

Qualifications:

• Professional-level certifications across multiple technologies and manufacturers.
• Proven experience with Cisco and/or HP Aruba solutions.
• Proven experience with Dell / EMC Solution portfolio.
• 10 years of experience in the IT consulting industry or with a technology manufacturer.
• 5 years in a sales or pre-sales role.
• Existing relationships with customers and manufacturer sales teams in the Tampa/Orlando region.

Travel & Work Environment:

• Willingness to travel for in state and out-of-state meetings with clients.
• Approximately 40% local/in-state travel, 20% out-of-state travel, and 40% work-from-home.
