Dental Assistant - Pediatrics

Pediatric and EFDA Dental Assistants needed for Children's Dental Center!

***$1500 SIGN ON BONUS***

We are looking for a full-time qualified Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our premier dental practice in Merrillville, IN. The right applicant will have experience preparing general dentistry patients, ensuring that they are comfortable and offering another set of hands for procedures. Assistants must help Dentists to clearly see problems and changes within a patient's mouth. This often requires taking x-rays of the bone structure of a patient's jaw, as well as taking photographs of the teeth.

Responsibilities

• Help Dentists prepare for procedures by having the necessary tools sterilized and in place
• Help keep a patient’s mouth clean and dry during procedures and hand Dentists the necessary tools at the appropriate time
• Patient education; explain procedures and discuss treatment progress and plans
• This position will include all aspects of clinical dental care

Requirements

• Dental X-Ray Certificate in Indiana Required
• Previous dental chairside assisting is Required
• Coronal Polishing & Pit/Fissure Sealants Certifications Required

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)
• Pediatric dentistry: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Coronal Polish Certificate for State of Indiana (Preferred)
• Coronal Polish Certificate for State of Illinois (Preferred)
• X-Ray Certification for State of Indiana (Preferred)
