• Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
• Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
• Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
• Work on all aspects of development lifecycle where needed
• Works with other developers to ensure consistency with initial design
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to other developers
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

• Proven experience as software architect
• Experience in software development and coding in various languages (VB, .NET, Javascript, C#, etc.)
• Database experience using SQL Server
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
• Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and UI/UX design
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles
• A technical mindset with great attention to detail
• High quality organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities

• MSC/BS in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; or at least 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY

Requires very good ability to effectively analyze and solve moderately difficult work-related problems on a variety of operating platforms. Must be able to appropriately define a problem and apply knowledge gained from previous issues and solutions to resolving a current challenge. Demonstrate good knowledge of the assigned information technology platform and ability to convey that understanding to others in work teams on projects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work area is temperature and humidity controlled. The noise levels vary based on which machines are running.
