Job Description - Lead Engineer
The successful candidate will work under direction of the Director, Nuclear Engineering Consulting, Project Manager and the Materials Engineering Laboratory Manager on both mid and small sized projects. The successful candidate must be a self-starter. Expectations include supporting project goals in accordance with the defined success path, and identification of problem areas for resolution.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
· BS Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (Masters is a plus)
· Minimum 4 years of experience required
· FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) is a plus
· Familiarity with Stress and Finite Element Analysis of Pressure Vessels and Piping
· Familiarity with Heat transfer and Fluid Mechanics
· Familiarity with AISC Code and Pipe Support Design
· ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code membership is a plus
· Able to travel (<20%) and provide site support, for walkdowns, etc.
· Demonstrates excellent communication skills with team members and clients
· Personable - working in a small office environment
· Excellent technical and report writing skills
