Overview
UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring a Quality Manager located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Responsible for managing the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for production processes, materials, products, and parts. Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of quality initiatives, projects, or certifications for the location.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality inspection programs for incoming materials and products, materials or products in process, and final approval material and product inspections.
- Provide direction to site management for implementing quality policies, setting objectives, and achieving annual improvement goals for quality initiatives.
- Develop and implement quality initiatives in order to satisfy ISO requirements.
- Prepare for all ISO and related audits. May represent the Company during such audits.
- Assist in the development of test controls, process controls, and accepted standards for new and existing products. Validate and test product models and reformulate models as necessary.
- Interact with operations management, outside vendors, and other internal departments to identify and resolve production quality issues and develop and improve production quality processes.
- Manage the inspection and evaluation of products, parts, and materials in relation to quality factors and measures. Identify the root causes of quality testing failures and implement appropriate corrective action in order to improve performance and eliminate repeated failures.
- Inspect raw, finished, and used products, components, or assemblies to ensure adherence, functionality, and operation accuracy and assembly specifications.
- Record test results and inspection data, mark items for acceptance or rejection, and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
- Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree by
- which the location’s quality goals, objectives and standards are being met; provide management with the results and recommend any corrective action necessary.
- Develop and generate statistical reports on inspection activities and results, new product or process testing results, and recommend action as required.
- Interact with vendors to conduct OEM audit programs. Interface with suppliers and third-party inspectors to address quality concerns. May develop and maintain supplier quality index, utilizing statistical reports to ensure only high-quality suppliers are retained.
- Investigate and implement corrective actions for internal and external customer complaints.
- Participate in management meetings regarding technical product changes and problems, required adjustments, and further strategic objectives.
- Maintain test equipment and instruments to ensure proper functions and calibration.
- Observe the current systems and processes in operation and gather and analyze information about each of part of the production process.
Management Representative:
- If applicable, the Quality Manager will represent the Company as a Management Representative and would report to top management on the performance of the quality management system at each management review meeting and after any internal or external audit as well as during any period when a trend shows a necessity for improvement.
- At a minimum, the duties would include the following:
- Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained.
- Report the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement.
- Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
- NOTE: The responsibility of a Management Representative can include liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality management system.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education (GED) and five to ten years related experience. Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience with JD Edwards or Vintara software preferred.
Certificates & Licenses:
Prior experience with ISO Quality required. Lean Management Improvement Techniques or other similar lean production excellence program certifications preferred, including Six Sigma Processes.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of machining processes and prior experience with recommending process improvements required. Ability to use common tools of measurement, including inside and outside micrometers, depth gauges, calipers and scales, and surface and hardness testers required. Prior experience in reading and interpreting blueprints required. Prior experience with tolerances used in the manufacturing of parts also required.
