What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cycle Counter position at UNITED FACILITIES?
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
90% - Operational Duties:
- Counts bay rows as assigned by the WMS Coordinator. Confirms and analyzes the inventory auto-hold report daily. Makes changes as needed.
- Verifies and confirms any over/short reports (DIFUM). Understands various “QC holds” associated with General Mills inventory and next steps.
- Performs various moves utilizing a forklift including physically and/or systematically separating various products to meet customer requirements.
- Consolidates partial product based on lot code specifications.
- Destroys all wet claim(s), damage, hi-fi, and any other product assigned to be destroyed. This will also include all applicable paperwork associated with product destruction.
- Maintains the correct documentation, daily checklists, and reports related to cycle counting activities and customer reporting requirements as outlined within the scope of this position.
- Assists with conducting physical inventories.
- Assists with training associates on physical inventory procedures.
5% - Communication Duties:
- Communicates internally with warehouse, office, and management personnel.
- Communicates inventory discrepancies to management for resolution.
- Maintains self-composure in stressful circumstances.
5% - Safety:
- Completes daily forklift inspection sheets.
- Follows general safety practices, including proper use of PPE and timely reporting of accidents/safety concerns.
- Follows food safety processes and ensures work areas are clean and free from hazards. Reports any food safety issues to UF Management.
- Attends and engages in safety meetings and discussions.
