Team Lead - Temp to Hire Conversion
Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. This associate will perform other duties as required.
65% - Operations:
· Assists with providing operational direction which include establishing priorities and sequences for completing orders, assigning, and evaluating work, resolving production related issues, and training new associates to help them to integrate into the culture.
· Unloads and loads trucks, picks orders, and completes warehouse moves as needed.
· Reviews and monitors dock schedule for each account to ensure all shipments are properly staged and the correct carrier assigned.
· Assists with job cards and forklift inspection sheets, to ensure they are accurate and submitted on-time.
· Assists with opening and closing building; secures building by utilizing alarm system at the end of each workday.
· Maintains good housekeeping standards.
· Ensures all procedures are accurately documented, followed, and updated as needed.
· Utilizes continuous improvement processes to determine root cause for any quality issues. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve productivity.
· Provides coverage for other positions during vacations and absences.
· Participates in internal and external meetings as requested.
· Expands job knowledge through classes, cross-training, job shadowing, attending meetings, etc.
20% - Communication:
- Communicates internally with United Facilities employees and temporary agency associates to provide an appropriate amount of training, direction, encouragement, and motivation to ensure a high level of performance and customer service.
- Communicates pertinent productivity data, customer service needs, employee issues, and maintenance needs to United Facilities Operations Manager in a timely manner. Notifies agency management of any significant employment related issues including attendance.
- Communicates externally with carriers, suppliers, and customers via email and phone as required.
- Maintains self-composure and encourages others to remain calm in stressful circumstances.
10% - Clerical Duties:
· Documents and updates SOPs timely.
· Answers internal phone calls, emails, faxes documents, prepares reports, and files paperwork.
· Assists with monthly safety meetings; completes and documents meeting session.
· Updates monthly accessorial spreadsheet and submits at the beginning of each month.
5% - Safety:
- Enforces safety rules and procedures including proper use of PPE, timely reporting of cell phone violations, accidents or incidents, and participation in YY’s to determine root cause.
- Follows food safety processes and guidelines including but not limited to good manufacturing practices, receiving and shipping requirements, glass and wood inspections, cleaning, and sanitation schedules, holds and traceability requirements, pest control requirements, food safety audits and corrective actions. Any identifiable food safety issues should be reported to the Operations Manager immediately.
- Ensures work areas are clean and free from hazards.
