Accounting Manager

About this role
As a Accounting Manager at UHSM, you will be a key member of our finance and accounting team, providing expertise and leadership in financial reporting, analysis, and operations. You will work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial matters, ultimately contributing to our organization's success and mission fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the recording and reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate revenue recognition processes, including reconciling revenue from various sources and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze month-end financial statements and reports to provide insights to management and support decision-making.
- Oversee the accounts payable (AP) cycle, including reviewing and approving invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payments.
- Manage the accounts receivable (AR) process, including billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Conduct regular reviews of general ledger accounts and assist in the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate annual audits and tax filings.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance and accounting function.
