About this role

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer with expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive the development and optimization of our digital marketing campaigns. This role involves a deep understanding of the marketing funnel to create impactful, data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with the VP of Sales & Customer Service and the Marketing Operations Manager to align technical strategies with business objectives, ensuring a seamless flow from lead generation to customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Development

  • Build, customize, and optimize solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Automation Studio.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts and AMPscript for personalized, dynamic email content.
  • Design and implement API integrations to connect Marketing Cloud with other systems, ensuring seamless bi-directional integration between CRM and SFMC, so member data and email history are consistently synced across platforms.
  • Create data extensions, queries, and segmentation strategies to support targeted campaigns.

Marketing Funnel Optimization

  • Develop solutions that align with the marketing funnel, ensuring a cohesive customer journey from awareness to conversion.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales to identify funnel gaps and create actionable strategies to address them.
  • Partner with the Marketing Operations Manager to implement workflows that enhance lead nurturing and campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Communication

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that meet marketing objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to teams on best practices in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Oversee and execute monthly email campaigns, including newsletters, automated cadences, and various marketing campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Data and Performance Management

  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize engagement and ROI.
  • Manage and maintain data integrity within Marketing Cloud, including regular audits and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Conduct A / B testing of campaigns to determine the best days and times to send, optimize content, and maximize engagement.
  • Report on key performance indicators such as open rates, click-through rates, and content engagement, collaborating with Peter to refine reporting and analytics strategies.
  • Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience with and expert-level proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and AMPscript.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing funnel and its impact on campaign design and customer engagement.
  • Experience with API integrations and custom development within Marketing Cloud.
  • Proficiency in SQL for creating queries within the platform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with additional Salesforce platforms, such as Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email and landing page development.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to stay updated on the latest Marketing Cloud features and marketing trends.
