Job Summary:
The Loan Servicing Specialist I will perform timely data entry for commercial, residential and consumer loans to ensure accurate boarding and reporting. Maintain specialized knowledge of loan codes, documentation, and reporting knowledge to ensure timely reporting to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Booking and renewing loans on the core system.
- Process funding on commercial loans including disbursements, fees, and payments.
- Analyze and research non-post items for processing and clearing.
- Analyze and research settlement accounts to clear General Ledger.
- Set up ACH for Loans.
- Input Loan Rate Changes.
- Handle Lease Payments and payoffs.
- Handle all loan payments and payoffs for Participations.
- Process advances on Lines of Credit.
- Process Letter of Credit Interest draws.
- Monitor and complete Loan Servicing email requests.
- Perform loan account transfers and maintenances.
- Order, review and mail payment notices and coupon books for consumer loans.
- Mail notices/statements for commercial loans, as needed.
- Quote loan payoffs.

Process all loan payoffs, including processing collateral releases for all loan types.
- Scans documentation of released collateral into the imaging system.
- Complete loan tickets for in-house disbursements and balance loan transactions.
- Handles incoming phone calls on loans from customers, banking centers and internal departments.
- Process incoming and outgoing wires.
- Create desktop procedures for all job functions.
- Perform duties related to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer.
- Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with associates, including Executive & Senior Management as well as subject-matter experts.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to make sound judgement calls.
- Advanced organization and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a problem-solving ability.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in a Servicing area, minimum of 1 year experience in banking industry.
- Prior Customer Service experience required.
Physical Requirements of Essential Job Functions:
The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls that are typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items weighting up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc.

- Periodic travel between locations may be required.
