Technician

We seek a qualified individual to perform tasks associated with manufacturing quality assurance procedures as well as providing technical support to customers and company technicians. Primary responsibilities will include executing inspection and test procedures on finished manufacturing goods and completing necessary quality documentation. Responsibilities will also include responding to phone and email requests, plus physical visits, for technical support germane to commissioning and maintaining UNITED Fire Systems products at installed locations.

Occasional overnight travel will be required. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years working in a technical position associated with providing quality assurance, as well as experience interfacing with and responding to customers and technicians regarding technical questions. Strong mechanical and low-voltage electrical skills are a must, with thorough knowledge and use of hand tools and electrical troubleshooting equipment. This is a full-time position, requiring presence in our headquarters facility 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (with the exception of time spent on jobsites and travel).

Candidate minimum requirements:

· 2 to 4 years minimum of demonstrable work experience in Quality and / or Technical Support.

· Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.

· Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

· Must have reliable transportation.

Additional qualifications:

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in technical discipline, or certification from accredited technical school. Will also accept 3rd or 4th year student in good academic standing.

· Adept knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

· Organizational experience.

· Demonstrated ability to handle fast-paced multiple projects and meet deadlines.
