What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events & Experience Internship position at United Fray?
United Fray offers internships to college students interested in pursuing a career in events, event management, or guest experience. We are looking for interns who can spend at least 20 hours a week working with our events and experience team during the day and/or evenings weekends to produce some high energy events for our awesome clients and guests. We have over a decade of experience creating incredible experiences for our members and strong relationships with our partners, thanks to our fantastic team of individuals with eclectic backgrounds in marketing, sports management, community development, business administration, and event planning.
As an Events Intern at United Fray, you'll report to the Events Team and have the opportunity for hands-on experience in building and executing actual event planning, coordination, logistics, and onsite management for a variety of activations.
You'll also receive personal mentorship and access to incredible perks that most other internships can't provide.
Your Responsibilities:
- Promotions: Helping the Promotions manager plan and execute promotional schedules.
- Coordinating dates and times for promotions with different accounts around the DC area.
- Your internship will include helping to coordinate event partners, staffing for the event, setting up/breaking down, and managing registration.
- Will help assistants manage inventory of event material and gather materials pre-event as well as return them after events.
- Community Outreach: Hanging posters, distributing flyers and/or postcards for events, and identifying outreach opportunities.
Your Qualifications:
- Passion and understanding of the event landscape, including various content management systems and email marketing platforms
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, entrepreneurial hustle, and desire to get better every day
- Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week in the Washington, DC, office (full-time, 40 hours is ideal)
- Preferred Work Experience in coordinating with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products
- Professional use of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Experience with Project Management tools like Asana
- Flexible schedule / (start date also flexible)
- Evenings and/or weekends work on occasion
Compensation & Benefits:
- Intern Compensation: $300 per month
- Additional pay if you work certain events during your internship or host one of our sports leagues;
- Free entry to DC Fray leagues and discounted DC Fray event participation;
