Maintenance Manager
Overall Objectives of Position The Manager-Maintenance is responsible for managing all maintenance activities for equipment and the facility in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. This includes managing capital and repair projects, preventive / predictive maintenance, and developing SOPs, PMs, work orders and training programs for future maintenance mechanics. Additionally, he / she will be responsible for creating and implementing the facility master plan, managing parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. The Manager-Maintenance is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goal and objectives of applicable programs. Primary Responsibilities of the Manager-Maintenance
- Establishes and manages the department's budget to ensure financial goals are met or exceeded.
- Develops and utilizes maintenance key performance indicators (KPI) to drive improvements to plant reliability.
- Develops, implements, and maintains maintenance related systems to support the continuous manufacturing requirements.
- Ensures the department's activities remain in or exceed the standards and specifications established by FSQA team.
- Manages maintenance inventory, purchasing and inventory control processes.
- Coordinates with on-site staff and Company management to review and approve plans for new equipment installation and layout to ensure operational efficiency.
- Responsible for maintenance, wastewater, inedible area, and refrigeration.
- Knowledge of freon refrigeration system and operations.
- Knowledge of boiler systems and PLCs.
- Manages environmental initiatives and compliance with local, state regulations.
- Serves as a member of the plant HACCP team.
- Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Follows all company GMP's and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
- Collaborates with suppliers and vendors to source spare parts, equipment, and maintenance services.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and spare parts inventory.
- Generates reports on equipment performance and maintenance costs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate person.
