Maintenance Supervisor - Nights
Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor must have a basic understanding of general maintenance, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical and electronic systems, and welding (TIG, STICK). This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, lockout / tagout (LOTO) procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of up to 10 members, overseeing daily tasks and documentation.
Organize and implement mechanical and engineering projects.
Ensure completion of assigned preventative maintenance (PMs) and required paperwork.
Maintain production lines in optimal mechanical condition.
Assist other departments, such as Production and Quality, when needed.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety protocols.
Set up, inspect, test, and dismantle machinery as needed.
Identify and diagnose mechanical issues through sound and operational variations.
Disassemble defective machinery and install new or repaired parts.
Clean and lubricate machinery components such as shafts, bearings, and gears.
Perform repairs and maintenance on physical structures as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
High school diploma or GED with 5 years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance, or 5 years of direct experience in these fields.
Ability to function effectively in a team environment and collaborate with personnel at all levels, including external contractors.
Experience operating forklifts, genie lifts, scissor lifts, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
Proficiency in reading work orders, writing reports, and interpreting equipment manuals.
Strong English communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Leadership training.
Vocational diploma, technical diploma, or associate degree in maintenance or a related field.
Experience in the slaughter / meat industry.
Multi-lingual abilities (Spanish, Karenni, French, and Creole are highly preferred).
3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.

Occasionally lift and / or move up to 75 pounds.

Frequently required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to talk and hear in a production environment.
