Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Gymnastics Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics and a commitment to educating our youngest athletes (and parents) starting as young as 18 months old.
As a Preschool Gymnastics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching early gymnastics foundations and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all students and parents. This coaching position is set in our dedicated preschool gym for our youngest athletes and parents. Classes range from 30-45 minutes 3-4 times each evening.
Responsibilities
- Educate students and parents on proper gymnastics foundations, safety protocols while engaging with students and parents.
- Follow engaging lesson plans that may require demonstration
- Conduct classes that include warm-ups and cool-down exercises to promote healthy classroom habits.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Ensure the gym is maintained in a clean and safe condition at all times.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create a positive learning environment.
- Organize and participate in gym events, competitions, or exhibitions as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques and safety practices is a huge plus but we are happy to train the right candidate with the right mindset and attitude.
- Experience in sports coaching, physical education and/or childcare is highly desirable.
- Ability to educate and inspire students in a supportive manner.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively and positively convey instructions and feedback.
United Gymstars and Cheer of Dothan is one of 3 locations in Alabama bringing gymnastics and cheer to the youth of our community. We offer recreational classes beginning at 18 months through competitive teams. We strive on positivity and strength within our staff and encourage all to do their very best to achieve excellence.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
