- Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE / SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED
- of Beds : 33 beds, average daily census is 16- Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 2-3 for adults, 1 : 2-4 for Peds- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress- Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes- Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation- Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? : Nasal cannula to vent- Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : RNs required to read and interpret- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) : 0630-1830, 1830-0630 / / Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in. Unable to guarantee block scheduling- Weekend Requirements : Every other- Holiday Requirements : Rotating based on weekend group- Floating Requirements : Typically to PCU, possibly to Med Surg- How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 3 shiftsRadius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with Common Spirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
