Key Responsibilities :
Filling prescriptions : Pharmacists fill prescriptions as directed by the physician, ensuring the correct dosage and checking for allergies and other interactions.
Educating patients : Pharmacists advise patients on how to take their medication, potential side effects, and how to store it. They also provide general health advice, such as on exercise, stress management, and other topics.
Administering vaccinations : Pharmacists may administer vaccinations, such as flu shots.
Managing pharmacy staff : Pharmacists may supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
Maintaining records : Pharmacists keep records of patients and pharmacy activities.
Ordering supplies : Pharmacists order and purchase pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
Maintaining stock : Pharmacists maintain stock levels and ensure that the pharmacy is not out of stock.
Participating in public health initiatives : Pharmacists may participate in public health initiatives, such as promoting healthy lifestyle choices, providing health screenings, and conducting immunization programs.
Documenting patient progress : Clinical pharmacists document patient progress, including medical history, hypersensitivities, food allergies, prescribed medications, dosage, and effects.
Qualifications :
Current Pharmacist certification in Sidney MT (don’t leave home without it!).
Hospital experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train enthusiastic Pharmacist who love to learn.
Excellent communication skills—extra points if you can throw in a great dad joke!
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (but don’t worry, no capes required).
