• Position: RN: ICU
• Location: Redding, CA 96001
• Pay Rate: $75-$76 per hour
• Gross Weekly: $2,984.38/week
• Shift: Nights: 3*12's
• Work Week: 36 hours per week
• Shift Notes: Nights(12 hour shifts, 3 shifts/week)
• Duration: 13 weeks (high Possibility of contract extension)

Job Description

Unit Notes:

• **Telemetry, L/D, Emergency and Critical Care RN's will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite, day one. This is a PASS/FAIL test!
• **MUST have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics**
• **HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE CONSIDERED, HOWEVER IT CANNOT BE GUARANTEED**
• Unit: ICU
• # beds: 30 beds
• Ratios: 1 to 1-2, 90% of the time will be 1 to 2 ratio
• EMR: Cerner
• Charge Nurse: yes, they do not take pt assignment
• Nurse Aides: No
• Weekend Requirement: every other
• Holidays: no holiday requirement at this time but they may be required to work
• Scrub Color: navy
• Tele: GE
• Vents: yes - hamilton
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: hosp 24/7
• IV Team: no
• RT 24/7: yes
• Floating: any of the tele or medsurg units
• Floor specific orientation: 1 day on unit
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: trauma - travelers must have this experience, neuro-strokes, head injurires, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring - candidates MUST have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics if they do not have this experience then they MUST have experience with post-TPA pts
• Additional Notes: candidates must have 2-3 yrs in specialty, previous travel experience preferred, must know ahead of time they will work very hard on this unit, must be open to asking questions or asking for help if needed, unit is fast-paced, must be able to get along well with others, hospital has a very robust interventional radiology program, traveler friendly,
• ****Absolutely NO candidates who have 2 years or less experience and minimal travel experience UNLESS they have excellent past experiences at larger, fast-paced facilities
  
  

Requirements: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Current CA state licensure
• BLS, ACLS(Must be through American Heart Associatio)
• PALS Preferred
• NIHSS
• MUST have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics OR MUST have experience with post-TPA pts
• 2 year of acute care Cerner Experience
• Covid Card.
• NO BSN Required.
• Updated Resume
