Overview
We are recruiting for a temporary WIC Administrative Outreach Specialist position. This temporary full-time position is expected to be a six month assignment.
Under the direction of the WIC Assistant Director, the WIC Administrative Outreach Specialist is responsible for ordering materials necessary for multiple sites (from State WIC, the stockroom, and outside sources). Tracks delivery and payment of supplies ordered. Reviews and monitors invoices. Prepares reports as directed. Develops, designs and promotes outreach material/posts for the WIC program.
Responsibilities
Works closely with the WIC Assistant Director and other members of the organization's management team to:
- Manage all outreach promotions, advertisements and social media to include communications.
- Perform common and basic office duties such as answering the telephone, directing calls, emails and faxes, and other office-related duties.
- Complete common project work such as participating on tasks requiring added assistance, and help the WIC Assistant Director and the rest of the WIC Administrative Team.
PERFORMANCE AREA: Primary Work Duties
- Inputs, types, reviews, maintains, gathers, and/or prepares reports, agendas, meeting minutes, surveys, and other correspondence.
- Prepares and keeps records of requisitions, delivery and installation of supplies and services and communicates with purchasing, accounts payable and the finance department regarding results.
- Works as a liaison with individual clinics and external companies.
- Design and post outreach messages on identified social media accounts – Instagram, TikTok, and FaceBook.
- Manage promotions/advertisements and review analytics to assess success and recommend improvements for future ads.
- Develop strategies to increase followership and engagement.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- Two (2) years of college education with an emphasis in Business and Marketing.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years' work experience in an administrative assistant position and a minimum of 1-year experience in Marketing and/or Outreach; OR four (4) years of work experience as an administrative assistant or in Marketing. A similar environment may substitute for education upon management approval.
- Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and other graphics software applications required.
- Previous experience in inventory, stock ordering, and receiving procedures preferred.
- Previous accounting and clerical work preferred.
- Prior experience in managing social media and community management.
- Strong knowledge of all social media platforms, scheduling/analytics-related tools, photo and video editing programs

The pay range for this temporary non-exempt position starts at $30.58 an hour. Our salary ranges are dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
This position is temporary and does not offer full-time benefits.
