About The Role
United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Operating Room to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Operating Room Nursing Team is a cohesive, skilled, supportive group. The OR nurses must be agile and adaptable to working with different teams of surgeons. This group gives nurses a lot of exposure to other units within the hospital!
Schedule : 1 weekend per month (which is a shift Saturday and a shift Sunday, with a shift of call to follow each)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintaining patient safety and advocating for patients
- Surgical counts, specimen handling / labeling / transporting
- Monitoring vital signs and responding rapidly when necessary
- Administering medications and providing patient education

Compensation : $40.70-$61.056 per hour, depending on experience.
Sign-On Bonus : this unit qualifies for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.
