United Health Services is seeking a School Based Nurse Practitioner Part Time (Family Medicine) to join our Executive Physician Practice department at UHS 4401 Vestal Parkway in Vestal, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

School Based Nurse Practitioner Part Time (Family Medicine) / Overview
School Based Nurse Practitioner Part Time position for SUNY Broome Campus.
Setting : Work will be performed on the SUNY Broome Campus, with the majority of the time spent seeing student and faculty patients in the Health Center that present for mild acute issue care.
Provider needs to become an active member of the SUNY Broome Campus Community and will be included in Health and Wellness Activities, Community events, and may be asked to lead or participate in Health related talks / seminars on campus.
Position is approximately 24 hours a week, and work at the Health Center will occur following the SUNY Broomes Academic Calendar. Typically sessions begin in Late August and run through May, with breaks for holidays as well as a winter break from late December to late January.
Position will be responsible for some basic lab testing including but not limited to -COVID, Pregnancy, Strep and Urine testing.
Provides primary care to patients, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.

Minimum Required :
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
- Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
